Children's Programs

A special Children's room is designated at the library, complete with puppet theater and books for all ages.

The 2008 Summer Story Time featuring "Jubilee," celebrating 50 years of the Texas Reading Club, meets every Thursday (except July 3) from June 12 through August 7 from 2 to 3 p.m.  Frequent evening Story Times are also held.  These programs are free to all children and feature stories, guests, puppets, and crafts, and the opportunity to check out library books.

Reading with Rudolph is held in December, complete with Santa, Mrs. Santa, and Rudolph for the children. It is co-sponsored by the library, Waskom Independent School District, Harrison County Literacy Council, Friends of the Library, and The Waskom Study Club.
